
Thank you to all participants and contributors for two days of engaging presentations and discussions at the eighth CONVERSATIONS workshop on chatbots and human-centred AI.

Program overview
- Keynote: One of the highlights of CONVERSATIONS 2024, was the keynote of Professor Benjamin R. Cowan . In his talk, he addressed perspective taking, partner models and user behaviour in conversational interface interaction (read more)
- Paper sessions: From the papers submitted to CONVERSATIONS, we selected more than 20 works which were shared over the five engaging paper sessions of the workshop. Papers spanned user research, conversational design, large language model applications, and human-centred AI (read more)
- Networking: Also this year, CONVERSATIONS offered good opportunites for networking with fellow researchers and practitioners at CONVERSATIONS. During the paper presentation sessions, at the social dinner following the program of Day 1, and a groupwork at Day 2.
Publication process
Accepted full and short papers are published in the Springer LNCS workshop proceedings.
Accepted position papers and project presentations are openly available at the workshop website.

Workshop host
CONVERSATIONS 2024 was hosted by CERTH – the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas, supported by the Horizon Europe projects vera.ai and MAMMOth. The workshop was furthermore supported by SINTEF, through the Horizon Europe project THEMIS 5.0, and by the University of Oslo, through its Centre for Research on Media Innovations (CRMI).
