Welcome to the eighth CONVERSATIONS workshop on chatbots and human-centred AI, December 4-5, at CERTH, Thessaloniki, Greece. The workshop is free of charge and an excellent arena for keeping up within this rapidly advancing field.

Paper submission deadline: September 25. Accepted research papers (full and short) are published in a Springer LNCS workshop proceedings.

On-site presentation, on-site and online audience: To facilitate engaging sharing and discussion, all paper presenters will participate on-site at the workshop. However, the sessions will be streamed to allow also an online audience to benefit from the presentations and take part in discussions.

Call for reviewers – program commitee members: This year, we have an open call for reviewers to CONVERSATIONS 2024. If you want to contribute to the review process to the workshop, read more and register at the special call for reviewers.

Submission categories
  • Full papers (12-16 pages) presenting new knowledge from research involving empirical studies, theoretical contributions, or innovative implementations.
  • Short papers (6-8 pages) presenting preliminary research results from emprical studies or innovative implementations.
  • Position papers and project presentations: Brief presentations (3-5 pages) of ongoing projects, work in progress, or perspectives on chatbot research and practice.

Full and short papers will undergo a thorough double blind review process involving three independent reviewers. Position papers and project presentations will undergo single blind review.

Publication process

Accepted full and short papers will be published in the Springer LNCS workshop proceedings (post-event)

Accepted position papers and project presentations will be made openly available at the workshop website.
